Austin Wright is a Small Farms Agent for Kentucky State University. With his vast experience contributing to the development of small farmers economics Austin Wright has continued the tradition of the mission of the 1890 Land Grant Colleges. With a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriscience Education with a concentration in Economics from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and over twenty years of experience developing small farmers across the nation Austin Wright has worked to evolve the last of the small socially disadvantaged minority farmers across the nation. Since hemp has been approved for development in Kentucky, Austin Wright has worked with small disadvantaged minority between Tennessee & Kentucky. He works to expand their crop diversification, education and abilities to process hem p across the commonwealth and now across the Southeast. Austin Wright has assisted to expand the 1890 Land Grant Colleges across the southeast over the last 4 years by hosting conferences, filed days, information sessions, reviewing rules, & policies with small farmers. Austin Wright daily walks small farmers through the process of becoming successful cultivators and processors of hemp and continues to reach out to expand small farmers and continue the mission of the 1890 Land Grant Colleges.
