Bio

I have been passionate about insects since I was a young. Growing up on a farm where my family produced fruit, vegetable, and field crops exposed me to many different insects. I gained experience working on my parents' farm and eventually decided that I wanted to pursue a degree in Entomology at Michigan State University. This led me to three summers as a field technichian at an MSU Extension research center. I enjoy spending my time outdoors collecting insects, as well as traveling in the United States and foreign countries. I studied agriculture in Sri Lanka and was exposed to a variety of cropping systems and insects. I am currently pursing a Master's degree in Entomology at Purdue University. I work on plant-insect interactions and chemical ecology of industrial hemp.
