Representative Jay Reedy is serving his third term in the House. He serves as the chairman of the Agriculture & Natural Resources Subcommittee. He also serves as a committee member on Agriculture & Natural Resources, Finance, Ways & Means, and Government Operations. Representative Reedy is a cattle farmer and small business owner. In 2017, he pushed the Hemp Legislation, HB1164, also known now as Public Chapter 369, for Tennessee farmers. Not only did he received passage of this bill but also grew hemp on his farm that same year.
